CloudFix Feature

What's new in CloudFix: October 2026

Advisory recommendations, automatic Aurora storage optimization, and realized savings tracking for SageMaker and Bedrock cleanup.

Here is what landed in CloudFix since the last update, covering advisory recommendations, smarter Aurora and RDS checks, and clearer savings tracking on cleanup work.

See every opportunity, not just the ones CloudFix can fix for you

Savings opportunities that need action on your side, where CloudFix cannot apply the fix automatically, now appear as advisory recommendations right alongside the fixes CloudFix applies for you. That means one queue covering every opportunity in your accounts, whether CloudFix can act on it or you need to.

Smarter Aurora and RDS recommendations

Aurora databases can now be automatically reconfigured to a cheaper storage type when one is available for your cluster. RDS resize and Aurora to Graviton recommendations now check every available instance option and correctly handle retired engine versions, so you get a valid recommendation instead of a dead end. RDS storage recommendations also now recognize when storage autoscaling is already enabled, so you are not told to change something you already have configured.

Clearer savings tracking on SageMaker and Bedrock cleanup

When you delete an idle SageMaker endpoint or Bedrock resource, CloudFix now tracks the realized savings automatically. Idle SageMaker endpoint recommendations also now exclude asynchronous endpoints and require enough usage data before flagging one, cutting down on false positives. Idle VPN connection recommendations show traffic in accurate units and include a configuration backup step before deletion.

New: idle ElastiCache Serverless cleanup

CloudFix can now find idle ElastiCache Serverless caches too, so cleanup isn’t limited to EC2, RDS, SageMaker, and Bedrock.

Faster scans, more reliable results

Account scanning is faster and lighter: CloudFix batches its AWS lookups instead of making one request per resource. Alarm based recommendations no longer miss alarms configured through EventBridge. ECS Savings Plan recommendations now appear correctly whenever your account has eligible usage, and dashboard filters show only the tag options that apply to your current recommendations. Across the board, these checks run across more than 30 AWS services.

Everything above is live now with no configuration needed. The new checks run as part of your next scan.
